Smart youth – the knights of the 21st century?

A new youth generation more informed, more mobile, and more immerse in mobile technology has awakened around the world.
They are so engaged with mobile technology that 90 percent of the youth in the US sleep with their mobile phones. Critics of this mobile generation are portraying the youth as developing an addiction to the smartphone and consequently becoming stressed and less socially active.
However, they could be missing the point by perceiving youth and adults as two peas in a pod. Is the smartphone a risk to the youth´s future? Or could the problem lie in the adults’ eyes instead?
