Co:tunity in european research project aiming to increase engagement in environmental issues
Recently Kairos Future received, along with a handful other businesses and universities, 2,5 million EUR from the EU's research budget Horizon 2020 Project STEP, Societal and political engagement of young people in environmental issues. The aim is to develop and test a language independent e-democracy platform that will facilitate cooperation between citizens and government.
The platform will be built on Kairos Future collaboration platform Co:tunity which will be supplemented by, among other things functionality for machine translation, social media streams etc. The platform will be tested in collaboration with a dozen regions of southern Europe and Turkey.
